This shelter interprets the mathematical figure of the Voronoi Diagram: “a special kind of decomposition of a metric space determined by distances to a specified discrete set of objects in the space.” The discrete points were chosen at random by the designers, modified to allow for practical considerations such as the main door, and built with 2” square steel tubes. The structure is awaiting a translucent interior membrane to shield from the weather.
